Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 4:30–11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (916) 930-9888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 454 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded hot pot in Sacramento.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We ordered Γ  la carte seafood with Tom Yum and Spicy Miso broths. We liked the Tom Yum better because it had more flavor. The staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant is much smaller than most shabu places, and parking is limited. It’s also a little hard to find because there’s no obvious sign. The restaurant is in a pink building shared with another business.

This was my first time doing a hot pot and I’m so glad that this restaurant was my first experience. They were super knowledgeable about allergy information and were free from all nuts & peanuts-they do use sesame though. From the second we walked in the front door until we left, all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, super helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I went with six other people so we had one large table with two heaters on it, because it was all of our first time there, the server brought out a small bowl of each broth so that we could try and decide what we wanted-we just saw all you could eat with four broths and a bunch of different meats and vegetables, then it ended with a scoop of ice cream. I really enjoyed the angus beef and actually I think I preferred that over the Kobe beef, I think because it absorbed more flavor. The pork belly was also very tasty and I really liked the chicken gyoza-they were a bit green onion heavy which some people at the table didn’t love but I love green onions and thought it blended the flavors perfectly. By the time we got to the ice cream no one was really hungry anymore but tried it since it was part of the meal

We came here weeks ago to celebrate our final cousin graduating from UC Davis. For the last 4 years, my cousins and I would come here every time we craved hot pot, no matter how bad the traffic was lol. Although the selection of veggies are on the small side, what kept us coming back was the BBH broth and their great service. Our server, John, was super attentive and friendly. He noticed my uncle being upset about a stain on his shirt and went out of his way to get us some soda water to help get the stain out. The rest of the team were also attentive and fast as always. Anyways, I just wanted to give kudos to the Heat Shabu team for the good food and service these last few years. Hopefully one day we can come back and visit.

Good shabu place. Pretty small and it was pretty crowded when we went around 5:00pm. Lots of families with kids, so it was pretty loud. The music was also very loud, which I wasn't a big fan of. The meat quality was very good. The Kobe beef was very tender and flavorful. All the veggies were good. The miso broth was very flavorful. I got the small plate, which was just enough for me (I'm not a big eater). It even came with a scoop of green tea ice cream at the end of the meal. I will probably come back if I'm in the area and in the mood for shabu. Just be aware that it's pretty noisy and not a very big place, so you may have to wait for a table.

They accommodated us very well. Needed to push back my reservation, and it was no problem. We had to sit outside and we had no problems with service. All the meat was of good quality. The spicy broth was not that spicy... But other wise me and my party of 6 had an awesome time. 10/10 will be back.
